Originally developed to support microbiome research, scikit-bio has evolved into a versatile tool applicable across diverse fields and is continuously supporting the broad omics research community.
Qiyun Zhu is an assistant professor at the School of Life Sciences, and computational biologist specializing in phylogenetics, comparative genomics, metagenomics, and multi-omics. His research focuses on developing innovative computational tools to enhance the analysis of microbiome data and exploring the intricate relationships between host and environmental microbiomes and human health.
