Sensitive Content: Queer Art, Algorithms & Censorship
Event description
- Arts and entertainment
- Inclusion
- Open to the public
Queer art is quietly disappearing online—not through bans you can see, but through algorithms that decide which bodies are “safe” enough to exist.
This event brings together artists, researchers and community storytellers to unpack how Instagram’s moderation systems erase queer intimacy while profiting from its aesthetics. Through a censored-art gallery, lived stories and collective reflection, this event asks who sets “community standards”—and what it costs when queer people are forced to make themselves smaller to survive them.
