The “Thinking Beyond” webinar series will feature renowned physicists Paul Davies, Sara Walker and Maulik Parikh from the Beyond Center for Fundamental Concepts in Science at Arizona State University and will address a big question/topic in science. This month, Andrew Jordan will present the topic and will be joined by Paul Davies and Maulik Parikh.

February’s Webinar – What happens when a quantum measurement is made?

Professor Jordan will cover some of the history and important recent discoveries in quantum physics, focusing on the theme of quantum measurement. Topics such as measurement reversal, entanglement by measurement, and how a quantum measurement can be continuous will be covered at an accessible level. The talk is reflective of his forthcoming book, Quantum Measurement: Theory and Practice, which he has written with his co-author, Irfan Siddiqi (University of California, Berkeley).
