Through the Window

Event description

  • Arts and entertainment

“Through the Window” is a BFA exhibition focusing on the way that humans utilize art to express the window through which they view the world. The featured artwork portrays the simultaneously peaceful and chaotic nature of embracing the self using both representational and metaphorical imagery. The artists question what it means to truly embrace the depths of emotion and self expression that we can offer not only to ourselves, but to others. Through a multitude of mediums, the artists present an eclectic mixture of artistic styles that are tied together by their desire to create a sanctuary where vulnerability can tie viewers together and provide an opportunity to look into someone else’s mind, through their window.

Featured artists: Joe Astle (Printmaking), Angelina Byun (Printmaking), Natalie Hoder (Painting and Drawing), Sophia Judd (Painting and Drawing), Martin Quantick (Painting and Drawing), Rowan Renner (Painting and Drawing), Lauryn Squyres (Painting and Drawing), Jeremiah Weisbrod (Painting and Drawing)
