Join the Academy for Justice on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023, for a book event focusing on violence against women in the criminal legal system. Three authors with books on the topic, will be present to discuss their books and answer questions, as a lead into the Miscarriages of Justice Symposium to take place the following day. Featured authors include:
- Valena Beety, Manifesting Justice: Wrongly Convicted Women Reclaim Their Rights
- Leigh Goodmark, Imperfect Victims: Criminalized Survivors and the Promise of Abolition Feminism
- Victoria Law, Resistance Behind Bars: The Struggles of Incarcerated Women
This event can qualify for 0.75 CLE credit hours–Arizona and California only.
