The Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention is thrilled to host Dr. Philip Smith for a visiting scholar seminar on Oct. 17 on the Downtown Phoenix campus. His talk will focus on Behavioral design for tailoring HIV prevention and U=U messaging: Studies on improving men's engagement

About the speaker:
Philip Smith, PhD
Senior Lecturer, Desmond Tutu Health Foundation
Senior Lecturer, Department of Medicine, University of Cape Town
Philip Smith is a Senior Researcher at the Desmond Tutu Health
Foundation and serves as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of
Medicine at the University of Cape Town. He completed his PhD in
Behavioral Medicine at the University of Cape Town. Dr. Smith
specializes in health behavior and public health. His research is primarily
aimed at developing and assessing strategies to encourage healthpromoting
behaviors in limited resource communities. Dr. Smith's work,
integrating psychology and behavioral design principles, spans research
in HIV testing and prevention, male medical circumcision, and health
psychology.
