West Valley Forward: Pow Wow and Salute to Service

Celebrate Native American heritage and honor the contributions of all U.S. veterans at the Native American Heritage Festival featuring the 20th Annual Veterans Day Weekend Traditional Pow Wow on Fletcher Library Lawn at ASU’s West campus. 

The centerpiece of the event — the Pow Wow — is a traditional gathering of dancers, drummers, elders and families. A gallery exhibition of Native Veteran prints will be unveiled. Featuring food trucks, Native arts and crafts vendors, and non profit organizations.

The arena director will direct the activities in the dance arena and the announcer will explain the symbolism, protocol and spiritual meanings of the dances, regalia, singing and drumming.
