How has AI changed dynamics in the classroom? From trying to ignore AI, to in-class essays, to engaging with AI assignments, there are a range of responses for faculty and students. About the panelists

Kyle Jensen is Professor of English and Assistant Dean of AI & Emerging Digital Technologies in The College. He is the author, co-author, or co-editor of six books including, most recently, Kenneth Burke’s Weed Garden: Refiguring the Mythic Grounds of Modern Rhetoric (Penn State University Press, 2022) and Rhetorical Listening in Action (Parlor Press, 2022). 

N. Ángel Pinillos' research interests lie in the areas of epistemology, philosophy of language, cognitive science and experimental philosophy. Dr. Pinillos has published articles in leading journals and has presented his work in over a dozen countries. He has also published in public venues including the New York Times and the Chronicle of Higher Education. 

Danielle S. McNamara, Ph.D., is the Executive Director of the Learning Engineering Institute, a Regents Professor in the Department of Psychology and Director of the Science of Learning and Educational Technology (SoLET) Lab. She is an international expert in fields related to learning engineering, including cognitive and learning sciences, comprehension, writing, natural language processing (NLP), intelligent tutoring and artificial intelligence in education.
