Wonderspaces, presenters of experiential art in Scottsdale since April 2019, are partnering with the School of Arts, Media and Engineering to launch a monthly Virtual Reality, VR, Film Series featuring a new celebrated VR film every month for one weekend only on the ASU Tempe campus.

Transition by Joost Jordens and Mike Von Rotz is a virtual reality experience based on the music of Kettel & Secede. A metaphor for death, Transition takes visitors on a journey from one world into the next.

Blind Vaysha, directed by Theodore Ushev, is based on a story by Georgi Gospodinov, a prominent Bulgarian author. The film beautifully blends expressive visuals with humor, narrated by Caroline Dhavernas. It tells a metaphorical story about the challenges of living in the present, using symbolic imagery, European landscapes, and Benedictine architecture.

In Ayahuasca Kosmik Journey, the viewer follows director Jan Kounen on a voyage to the Amazon before shifting over into his point of view and experiencing the story through his eyes. For seventeen years, Kounen has traveled once a year to the Peruvian region of the Amazon to meet indigenous healers and expand his knowledge of their traditional medicine.

Tickets are on sale at https://arizona.wonderspaces.com/tickets. Tickets are $16 for General Admission, $12 for ASU Students and $10 for Wonderspaces Members. Each visit runs for approximately 50 minutes and showtimes start on the hour from noon to 7 p.m. during exhibition weekends.
