New technologies have the power to reshape relationships between patients and healthcare professionals, and to disrupt the systems that determine access, quality, and the just distribution of healthcare resources.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EBut what does it mean to keep the human at the center of care? How can the humanities help advance this urgent public priority? And why do the humanities matter for medicine, health, and healthcare innovation?\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThis panel discussion and group activity will bring together faculty leaders in the humanities at ASU to explore how modes of inquiry from the humanities can drive innovation and advance health. Addressing the complex challenge of promoting human flourishing requires leaders with historical knowledge, ethically-informed perspectives, cultural understanding, and creative interpretive and communicative skills.
