Drawing on survivor testimonies and memoirs, the book examines a wide range of experiences, including sexual violence, rape, forced cohabitation, survival sex, acts of aid, and romantic relationships. Challenging the conventional view of liberation as an unambiguously positive moment,\u202fShattered Liberation\u202fhighlights the voices and memories of Jewish survivors to reveal a far more complex, if not devastating, reality.
