Through CYBOTAGE, she documents veterans\u2019 perspectives via surveys, interviews, workshops, and exhibitions, broadening access to critical discussions on human enhancement and building a national archive of veterans\u2019 visualizations of life-size \u201cenhanced\u201d bodies. Her work has been supported by grants and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, Ford Foundation and Canada Council for the Arts, among others. Dr. Cachia is currently the Research and Curatorial Advisor for a major exhibition on art and disability from the nineteenth century to the present, scheduled for 2028 at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). The Los Angeles Times reported that \u201cKlay transcends his self-description as \u2018a writer who was once a Marine and writes about war\u2019 to become more of a philosopher.
