Peter is also the director of research at the Western Australian Institute of Sport, where he oversees a research program designed to answer coach and service provider questions relevant to athlete performance in Olympic sport programs. Across these two roles, Peter has co-authored over 200 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters, whilst also collaboratively securing more than $8M in research funding through various grants and industry engagements. In addition to his research endeavors, Peter received both a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Education from UWA.
