Join the Labriola National American Indian Data Center for a talk with two Diné poets, Amber McCrary and Kinsale Drake! Both poets recently published books of poetry, "Blue Corn Tongue" by Amber McCrary and "The Sky Was Once a Dark Blanket" by Kinsale Drake. Both poets will discuss their books and the process of getting their poetry published. Additionally, they will share the challenges of creating spaces for themselves as Indigenous women in the publishing world. Refreshments will be provided!

The event is hosted by students from the Herberger Institute's Design and Arts Corps, an integrated community-engaged design and arts program where participants engage in direct and ethical partnership and collaboration with communities to learn and practice design-and-arts-based programming and actions that activate community goals.

Inspired by themes that all human beings cherish – love, peace and unity – Jonah draws upon the solitude of his ancestral lands to create a meditative soundscape that heals the soul.

Littlesunday is nationally renowned, a Canyon Records recording artist, and famously performed at Senator John McCain's funeral in Washington, D.C. Come experience the beautiful sounds and stories of Native American flute!
