Recognized as being among the top piano competitions in the world, The 11th Bösendorfer and Yamaha US-ASU International Piano Competition attracted a total of 350 pianists from 33 different countries from the world’s top music schools applied to the competition. Out of these, 28 competitors were chosen to compete in the Bösendorfer competition (ages 19-32); 8 for the Yamaha Senior Competition (ages 16-18) and 7 for the Yamaha Junior Competition (ages 13-15).

Winners' Recital and Awards Ceremony for the 11th Bosendorfer and Yamaha USASU International Piano Competitions

This concert requires a separate ticket and is not included with the daily or weekly competition passes.

The 11th Bösendorfer and Yamaha USASU International Piano Competition opening gala piano recital will feature legendary pianist, Martha Argerich, who will be joined by members of the jury for an exciting music program. They will play solo pieces as well as works for one piano, four-hands, which Argerich will perform with competition director and ASU piano faculty member, Baruch Meir.
