Resilient Relationships

This talk will focus on ways to increase wellness within relationships. You will have the opportunity to learn about "love languages," mindful communication and creating relationship-specific values. Emily Ross is a doctoral student in ASU's clinical psychology program and a resident therapist at the university's clinical psychology center.

Her work focuses on parent-child relationships. She is generally interested in helping clients to build more effective relationships. Ross takes a person-centered and holistic approach, with the goal of fully understanding clients' psychological profile. She incorporates a variety of evidence-based interventions into her clinical practice, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and motivational interviewing.

Ross has co-led multiple psychotherapy groups, including one for spouses and partners of patient’s diagnoses with cystic fibrosis.
