JP Lempke presents a strange mix of classical repertoire and new music, including solos, duets, ensembles, electronics and improvisation. This includes the premier of JP Lempke's new work for amplified ensemble and electronics.

This recital is in partial fulfillment of Lempke's Master of Music in performance degree requirements.

"The Expo" is a gathering of Arizona State University classes interested in urban arts and hip-hop as research, culture and knowledge.

The event includes live performances by students in the School of Film, Dance and Theatre, School of Art, School of Music and Barrett Honors College. Come learn, exchange and grow together.

Participatory dance cyphers and presentations by Urban Arts Club, Breakin Club and Hip-Hop Coalition.

Student composer Dale Sakamoto presents "Reverend Stormfield Goes to Heaven," a satirical journey through heaven, as the Reverend discovers heaven is much different from what she anticipated. 

Based on the similarly named Mark Twain short story, the operetta offers a philosophical and comical look at current evangelical church culture, the hypocrisies of religion, and the qualities that manifest in a truly pious person. A composer Q&A follows the performance.
