Deer Valley Rock Art Center is an archaeological site and a museum and 47-acre nature preserve. It offers a handicap-accessible 1/4–mile trail that takes visitors to the Hedgpeth Hills petroglyph site, where for thousands of years people have left their marks by pecking over 1,500 symbols into the black basalt boulders.
The center is located at 3711 W. Deer Valley Road, approximately 2 miles north of Highway 101 and 2 miles west of I-17.
