Following the opening reception for “Twin Flames: The George Floyd Uprising from Minneapolis to Phoenix,” let’s kick off Black History Month with a dance celebration: a silent disco! Explore the profound impact of Black artists on today’s contemporary music scene.

Gospel and blues set the stage for rock ‘n’ roll, while jazz has this crazy ability to cross all kinds of borders with its beats. African rhythms mixed with other musical styles gave birth to hip-hop, R&B, funk and loads more. 

ASU's Free Latin Dance Festival

Mark your calendar for March 15-17, 2024 and join us at Arizona State University for an electrifying celebration of Latin dance and culture. This year we will have more guest artists than ever before, an entirely new Cultural Celebration and a Salsa Museum Pop Up designed by our Latin Sol Committee.

Come join Creator Space's first event! We will be making Valentine's Day crafts! Make valentines for friends, family, partners, or maybe even for yourself! All materials and treats will be provided, so just bring your imagination! You are welcome to bring your own supplies as well.

Students play the roles of U.S. embassy officials dealing with actual events as they happen in real country under the guidance of a former U.S. Ambassador. The upcoming country of focus will be India. This simulation introduces students to how U.S. foreign policy is developed and how it is executed in the field.

ASU Library and Center for Science and the Imagination present “Griots and Galaxies: Unveiling the Multiverse of Black Speculative Fiction,” an exhibit at Hayden Library on ASU’s Tempe campus. The exhibit centers on the four primary genres that comprise Black Speculative Fiction—Fantasy, Science Fiction, Horror and (Alternate) History — demonstrating how each works to imagine better futures for Black people.
