Caring for Others in Uncaring Times

ASU’s Center for Innovation in Healthy and Resilient Aging is pleased to welcome Richard Lui, MSNBC anchor and author of the new book "Enough About Me," to the university to share his experiences taking care of his aging father.

Lui broke barriers as the first Asian American man to anchor a daily cable news program in 2007. Then, his father was diagnosed with dementia, and life changed dramatically as he joined 53 million Americans in becoming a family caregiver.

He’ll participate in a fireside chat with David Coon, center director and associate dean and professor at the Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation, and Julia Wallace, Frank Russell Chair in the Business of Journalism at the Cronkite School. Adrienne Fairwell, the general manager of Arizona PBS, will introduce the panel.

Lui will provide insights from his caregiving journey and share how it helped him become a better human being. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.

You can attend in person on Tuesday, March 15 at 6 p.m. at the Cronkite School’s First Amendment Forum or you can join online here: https://asu.zoom.us/j/99349055156

This event is a collaboration between Edson College and the Cronkite School.
