"To Infinity and Beyond: Human Biology and Evolution in the Time of Human Spaceflight"

Dr. Mallika Sarma will be talking about her research at this CEMinar. Mallika holds a BS in psychology and evolutionary anthropology from the University of Michigan (2014) and is currently a PhD candidate in anthropology with an emphasis on human biology. Working in the Hormones, Health, and Human Behavior Lab, her research focuses on human developmental plasticity, niche construction and physiological and behavioral acclimation/adaptation to extreme environments; specifically high altitude environments and analog environments for long-duration space travel and extra-terrestrial habitation. Mallika is currently a NSF Graduate Research Fellow and also holds the Notre Dame Dean's Fellowship.
