Join this virtual online event as Arizona State University art students, faculty, and library staff discuss art and creativity with maps. This is the 8th year of the Creative Cartography Art Exhibition Series, an interdisciplinary collaboration between the ASU School of Art, Map and Geospatial Hub, and ASU Library. Examples of student art from the new Search and Discover Exhibition, on view at the ASU Noble Library, second floor balcony from November 10–24, 2021, will be spotlighted along with examples from previous exhibitions. Symposium talks will center on the student experience using discarded maps as a creative resource, the role of sustainability in art practice, and the value of collaboration between ASU disciplines as part of undergraduate and graduate education.

The Creativity with Cartography Symposium is a virtual event on taking place via Zoom on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. (Phoenix time). Registration is free and open to the public. A Zoom link will be sent to all registered participants.
