Day of the Dead Walk With Ancestors

colorfully decorated sugar skulls

Ground yourself to the natural environment while honoring the lives of loved ones in this Day of the Dead celebration.

The event starts with a one-mile walk around the beautiful ASU Polytechnic campus, where a journey map and CISA Student Ambassadors will guide participants to some of the most popular natural environment spots and share stories about people and places around campus.

Bring a picture of a loved one (an ancestor) to honor them and all of the ancestors of this land. As you walk, use your journey map to reflect and write down memories of your loved ones. We invite you to place the photo at the Day of the Dead altar and participate in the altar blessing in the Polytechnic campus Student Union.

Following the walk, we’ll gather in the Student Union to enjoy some food, live performances, and family-friendly activities.

Organized by ASU’s College of Integrative Sciences and Arts, TRIO, USG, HOLA, Sun Devil Fitness Center, Poly Sol, Agape, ASU Garden Commons, ASU Prep, Multicultural Communities of Excellence.
