The Disunited States: Trump and the Fracturing of America

The Disunited States: Trump and the Fracturing of America

Division is hardering across the land. It's not just that there's disagreement; there is no viable vocabulary, no shared truth, no accepted reality that can serve as a foundation for discussion. Red-state America and blue-state America contemplate each other as strangers, and so we must ask: "How does America begin to heal?"

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is pleased to bring to campus Roger Cohen of the New York Times to deliver the 2017 Jonathan and Maxine Marshall Distinguished Lecture at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 11 in the Memorial Union, Ventana room.

This lecture is free and open to the public. There are no tickets for the event and an RSVP is not required but seating is limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m.
