EIDOLON

EIDOLON, BFA Painting and Drawing Exhibition

Gallery 100 presents "EIDOLON," a BFA painting and drawing showcase. This exhibition explores memory and identity through the use of vibrant color and eclectic combinations of figure, character and idolatry. Hannah Collins, Allene Dugan, Alana Guetis, Huiyi Li, Kellie Martinez, Kelsey Phillips, and Miranda Wacker employ anatomical forms, portraits and southwestern landscapes to explore and interpret the subconscious mind. These artists draw inspiration from childhood memories, dreams, cultural motifs and animal symbols to develop a complex emotional tapestry. Vivid introspection leaves the viewer to ponder the intricacies of everyday life and become more invested in their own personal dreamscapes.

Exhibition Dates: March 14–17, 2022
Opening Reception: Tuesday, March 15, 5–8 p.m.
Gallery Hours: Monday–Thursday, noon–5 p.m.
