Enmei (Long Life): A Dance and Aging Project

Enmei (Long Life): A Dance and Aging Project

"Enmei (Long Life): A Dance and Aging Project" brings together six dance artists, scholars and musicians from Japan and the U.S. to explore what it means and what it takes to age as a woman in the field of contemporary dance. In an evening of unique interdisciplinary collaboration, these works challenge us to rethink our notions of the aging female body and celebrate the endurance of the human spirit.

Japanese dance artists Masako Kitaura and Kei Takei join forces with Arizona State University faculty artists and scholars Mary Fitzgerald, Eileen Standley, Kotoka Suzuki and Rose Weitz.
