Film: 'The White Helmets'

The Arizona State University Council for Arabic and Islamic Studies presents the spring 2018 Arabic Film and Poetry Series.

Today's event will feature a showing of the 2017 Oscar winner for best documentary, "The White Helmets."

Film Description:
In the chaos of war-torn Syria, unarmed and neutral civilian volunteers known as "the white helmets" comb through the rubble after bombings to rescue survivors. Having already saved over 60,000 lives since 2013, these brave first responders continue to place themselves in danger every day.
