The School of Art is excited to announce the next artist in an ongoing student showcase with the Graduate Tempe Hotel. The February artist is José Ulises Heredia, who is a Mexican artist who recently completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education from Arizona State University.
The border of San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora, Mexico, and San Luis, Arizona was his home for the beginning years of his life, making him a Norteño. Pop art has always been of interest and a passion of his. Art-wise, Ulises makes a bit of everything varying from art welding to illustration. Bold and playful contour lines are typical in his artwork.
Meet Ulises at the opening reception from 5–7 p.m. Feb. 5.
