ADA30 Series: History of the Americans with Disabilities Act

President George Bush signed the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) on the South Lawn of the White House.

We're continuing our celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act with a history of the ADA! This free event will highlight topics of ADA history from before it was a law at ASU through future ideas, on topics like ASU’s Disability History, The Independent Living Movement, ADA Employment, Visually Impaired History, Legal ADA History, the Revolution of Communications access and the future of accessible technologies. Sign language interpreters and real-time captioning will be provided.

This event is part of a year-long series of events celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act. See the full list of ADA30 events.
