Last Event: Thursday June 21 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.

This summer, FilmBar and Arizona State University's Center for Science and the Imagination are going back to the future.

This second installment of The History of the Future film series rounds up another set of delightfully schlocky, thought-provoking films from decades past. With introductions and comments from scholars and experts, we'll examine stories about the future from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s and think about how accurate those visions turned out to be.

"Logan's Run" (1976) portrays an idyllic future with one major drawback: life must end at the age of 30.

Other History of the Future film events will take place at FilmBar on July 19 with "They Live" and Aug. 16 with "Demolition Man."
