The field of data science is expanding rapidly, and data science services are in higher demand as students and faculty increase their engagement in data science research. At the center of information science and data-driven work, libraries hold cultural and curatorial expertise that is crucial for future work in data science.

On Wednesday, June 8, the ASU Library will host an inaugural meeting of data science in libraries to share experiences, challenges and brainstorm about the future. Aimed primarily for data science practitioners in academic libraries, participants can join in robust information sharing, as well as conduct preliminary work to set up future collaborations.

ASU students, faculty and staff can stay tuned for fall semester data science and analytics events and workshops.
