Intro to Open Source GIS (Using QGIS)

Join the ASU Library Map and Geospatial Hub for this two-hour workshop introducing geographic information system (GIS) technology with open source software. 

We'll be using QGIS, a powerful, easy-to-use, free and open source software (FOSS) platform.

Note: This workshop is free and open to both ASU affiliates (students, faculty, staff) and non-ASU-affiliates (general public). Reservation priority is given to ASU affiliates. Twenty (20) computer workstations are available in the lab (Noble Library, Room 105). Alternatively, workshop participants may opt to bring their own laptop. A maximum of 40 total participants may attend. Those bringing their own laptops will need to install the following free, open-source software applications:
