Lauren Copley: The Between

Lauren Copley: The Between

"The Between" is an MFA thesis exhibition by Lauren Copley.

Exploring the relational nature of humanity through attachment theory, gestalt psychology, the psychology of emotions, the neuroscience of learning, dialectical behavior therapy and cybernetics, this interactive work facilitates a reciprocal state of emotional understanding. Attunement prompts loving responses towards self and others.

A computational graphic interface utilizes the dynamic capabilities of code to produce unique geometry from user input. These visualizations reflect on the between

 of

(your context, your current emotional state)

 and

 (you, another)

“There are no things; there are only relationships.” - Iain McGilchrist
