'Opportunities at The Huntington Library' with Steve Hindle
Fellowship and Programming Opportunities at The Huntington Library
The Huntington Library Research Division annually makes grants of research fellowships to the value of $2 million for scholars to work on its Library and Art Collections. It supports about twenty post-doctoral scholars and faculty members to come into residence for the full year, and another 160 graduate students and post-docs for shorter periods of up to five months.
In addition it works with invited conveners to host seven two-day conferences on themes cognate with its areas of collection strength, which range from mediaeval medicine through 20th century aerospace, with particular strengths in renaissance and early modern studies, especially early printed books.
Research Director Steve Hindle will offer advice to prospective applicants for these programs, and describe the experience of participating in the scholarly community at The Huntington.
Lunch will be served.
