The Contemporary Percussion Ensemble directed by J.B. Smith and Simone Mancuso celebrates Smith's retirement from 33 years of service to the School of Music.

The ASU Contemporary Percussion Ensemble, Director of Percussion Studies, and Faculty Associate Simone Mancuso strives to increase performer and audience awareness of the contributions to the literature by major composers such as Edgard Varese, Lou Harrison, John Cage and Steve Reich, as well as new literature.
