Plant Walk and Talk

garden

The ASU Polytechnic campus has a diversity of native desert plants. These plants offer lessons for living sustainably in the desert such as how they use water, maximize shade and conserve energy. And most are edible!

Join University Sustainability Practices during this walk, where we will identify the common edible desert plants growing on campus, sustainable adaptations they have evolved and learn how and when to harvest for food. Participants should be prepared for a 45-minute walk outdoors across campus.

*all participants will receive a young Octopus Agave plant to take home.

RSVP is required.
