Q & A with Animator Ermina Takenova
Ermina Takenova will discuss her work as an animator and answer questions about her short film “Mankurt.” Takenova’s film is based on a Turkic legend adapted by Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov in his novel The Day Lasts More Than a Hundred Years.

Takenova is an animator, director and illustrator who hails from Almaty, Kazakhstan. She received her MA in animation from the Royal College of Art in London in 2016. She works as a motion designer at Miri Growth, a marketing and advertising firm, and creates prints and designs for products at Threadless, an online creative community.
