In celebration of Out at ASU week, join queer students from across campus for a zine-making and viewing party. We’ll work together to create an original zine and learn about queer zine history and the local zine scene from School of Art Faculty Hilary Harp and Adriene Jenik and Charissa Lucile of Wasted Ink Zine Distro and organizer of the annual Phoenix Zinefest. Food will be provided. No previous knowledge or skills required! *Zines are DIY text and image based alternatives to magazines that foster and circulate among niche subcultures Event intended for the ASU community (students, faculty, staff, and Mirabella residents) Sponsored by the Culture and Access Dept at the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts, the Multicultural Communities of Excellence, and Cultural Connections. |
