A Radical Truth for Everyone: Reckoning and Reconnecting

Reverend angel Kyodo williams

Radical Dharma refers to “Complete Truth.” It’s an invitation for us to personally and collectively enter into the long-overdue conversation about how the legacy of racial injustice, white supremacy and the intersections of oppression feed, play out and prevent our collective awakening, and to skillfully bring those conversations to our institutions, circles and communities.

Called “the most intriguing African-American Buddhist” by Library Journal, the Rev. angel Kyodo williams Sensei is an author, maverick spiritual teacher, master trainer and founder of Center for Transformative Change. She has been bridging the worlds of personal transformation and justice since her critically-acclaimed book, "Being Black: Zen and the Art of Living With Fearlessness and Grace," which has been hailed as “an act of love” by Alice Walker and “a classic” by Jack Kornfield.

In 2016, the Rev. angel Kyodo williams published "Radical Dharma: Talking Race, Love and Liberation." Ordained as a Zen priest, the Rev. angel Kyodo williams is the second black woman recognized as a teacher in her lineage.
