Visiting Artist and Scholar Lecture Series: Odette England

Odette England is an artist and writer who uses photography, archives and text to explore home, labor, gender and land. Her work has been exhibited in more than 100 museums, galleries and art spaces worldwide and is held in public collections including the Museum of Modern Art, George Eastman Museum, Fort Wayne Museum of Art, Museum of Contemporary Photography and the New Mexico Museum of Art.

England holds an MA in communication culture and language from the University of South Australia, an MFA in photography with honors from the Rhode Island School of Design and she received a scholarship to complete her PhD at the Australian National University. She is a permanent U.S. resident and lives and works from studios in New York City and Providence, Rhode Island.
