This free event features presentations by graduate students from across ASU campuses related to linguistics, applied linguistics and TESOL as well as a plenary speech by Elizabeth R. Miller of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte: "Taking (Language) Teacher Emotions Seriously: What Research on Emotions and Emotion Labor Can Help Us Understand about Teaching, Power, and Social Discourses."
Attendance is free but registration is required.
The conference is hosted by graduate students with support from ASU's Department of English and its Linguistics and Applied Linguistics / TESOL program. Other sponsors include ASU's Graduate College; Graduate Student Government; School of International Letters and Cultures; and Regents Professor Emeritus Elly van Gelderen.
The 2025 conference will be held in-person on ASU's Tempe campus.
