The global energy sector is rapidly growing to match the pace of the fourth industrial revolution while also being rewired due to geo-political conflict. Standard conventions of practice no longer hold, and we find ourselves being forced to innovate and implement faster than before. Often a mix of technical, business, and policy innovations is needed to keep up with the rate of climate change and economic development. Opportunities and examples will be shared from Southeast Asia, Pacific Island Countries, Central Asia, Africa and Central America.
Please join us to discuss threads in the global energy transition and hear from a panel of industry, federal and academic leaders discussing how U.S. innovations and global partnerships can help address emerging opportunities. Opening remarks were provided by Congressman Greg Stanton (AZ-04) and Peter Schlosser, vice president and vice provost of Global Futures at ASU. Coffee, networking and a tour of the ASU Center for Negative Carbon Emissions will follow the event.
We encourage you to attend in person for dialogue, networking, refreshments, and a tour. Virtual attendance is available for people who can’t attend in person.
