Join us for a discussion with Matthew Kirschenbaum, who will engage us on two recent assessments of the current state of the humanities, the university and the deployment of A.I. in higher ed: Kirchenbaum’s and Rita Raley’s “AI and the University as a Service;” and Eric Hayot’s and Matt Seybold’s “The ‘Crisis of the Humanities’ Is Over. That’s Not a Good Thing.” Participants will be provided copies of these articles and are asked to read both in advance in preparation for a meaningful exchange. Boxed lunch to be provided through ASU Catering.

Matthew Kirschenbaum is Commonwealth Professor of AI and English at the University of Virginia.
