How can artists help us hear the voices of dolphins, forests, and coral, and what happens when we truly listen?

Moderated by Jenny Strickland

What might change if a caterpillar’s life was treated with the same dignity as a human’s? This Leonardo LASER Talk dives into the unfolding possibilities of interspecies communication and creative collaboration. Featuring artists who work with sound, language, color, and myth, we’ll explore what it means to listen across species lines, honor nonhuman intelligences, and build art that bridges worlds. From the fishing rituals shared between humans and dolphins in Brazil, to coral-inspired immersive environments, to speculative languages for forests and rivers—this is a conversation about empathy, imagination, and the future of life on Earth.
