ASU Cares Beach Clean-Up - Orange County Alumni Chapter

Event description

  • Community service

Join us for a community clean-up of Newport Beach!

The ASU Orange County Alumni Association group will be teaming up with the Surfrider Foundation to tackle a very worthy cause – a cleanup event at “The Wedge” to keep Beautiful Newport Beach true to its name. Spend some fulfilling time by the shoreline, making a positive impact on our beautiful coastal environment. This community service event is dedicated to collecting and disposing of litter to keep Newport Beach pristine.

Our goal is simple: Stay as long as you'd like to fill your trash bag (or as many as you wish), banishing debris from our beloved beachfront. With the picturesque backdrop of rolling waves and golden sand, you'll collaborate with fellow volunteers to ensure a cleaner, healthier coastline for everyone to enjoy!

Whether you are an eco-enthusiast, a lover of nature, or someone who just wants to lend a hand, this event welcomes all. Together, we'll work diligently to collect and remove debris, taking steps towards preserving the natural beauty of Newport Beach.

Park in the surrounding residential neighborhood and look for the Surfrider easy-up on the beach. Trash bags will be provided. It is recommended you bring your own gloves, but disposable gloves will be provided if they are forgotten. Forks Up Devils!!

When: Saturday, March 16 from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. Pacific Time
