ASU Cares Project - Georgia Alumni Chapter

Event description

  • Community service

Join the ASU Alumni Association of Georgia as we partner with the Atlanta Community Food Bank to serve our neighbors in need!

The Hunger Action Center provides a great hands-on experience in a diverse and social atmosphere. Groups and individual volunteers come together to inspect, sort and pack quality grocery donations to prepare for distribution to nearly 700 partner agencies across Georgia.

WANT TO DOUBLE YOUR IMPACT?

With 1 in every 9 Georgians at risk of hunger, the number of people requesting emergency food assistance continues to grow. If every volunteer visiting our Hunger Action Center brings just two cans of food, we would be able to provide approximately 2,750 additional meals each month!

Please consider bringing as many nonperishable items as you can! You're already making a tremendous difference by volunteering. Think how much that can be magnified by grabbing a couple of food items to bring with you! We're always in need of natural peanut butter, canned chicken and canned fruits & vegetables.

YOU MUST REGISTER AT THE LINK BELOW TO CONFIRM YOUR ATTENDANCE! If you do register and your plans change, please notify us right away so the ACFB can open those slots to other volunteers. We have only 20 slots available and hope to pack it with Sun Devils, so please register TODAY to secure your spot with us!

Date: Sunday, March 3rd
Time: 8:15 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Eastern Time

Join us for brunch afterward to celebrate our service together - appetizers will be provided! Location TBD.
