ASU's West Valley campus faculty have inaugurated a new film series spanning the 2024-25 academic year, curated by a faculty committee from across the campus, and produced by the Interdisciplinary Arts and Performance program.

The first film is a masterpiece from 1988, Cinema Paradiso. Set in a small Sicilian town, this film centers on the friendship between a young boy and a projectionist who works at the local movie theatre. This film is considered one of the greatest of all time, as well as one of the most romantic to celebrate film. The screening will be followed by a brief discussion led by faculty. This film is in Italian with English subtitles and is rated PG. Admission is free.
