AZCALL is a conference held each year that brings together computer-assisted language learning (CALL) enthusiasts from around the state and region to share ideas, network and receive valuable feedback on scholarly research, academic papers and major conference presentations which are in progress or preparation.

The conference is open to all at no charge; registration information will be shared soon.

This year's AZCALL Conference is themed "Technology and the Evolution of Language Research" and features two keynote speakers.

David B. Resnik of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences and National Institutes of Health will discuss "Ethical Use of Artificial Intelligence in Scientific Research."

Betül Czerkawski of the University of Arizona will discuss "Human-Centered Design with Generative AI: Can L2 Instruction go beyond the Algorithms?"

Proposals for papers are being accepted through July 31.

AZCALL is organized by the CALL Club and SparkLing at ASU and is sponsored by the Department of English, the School of International Letters and Cultures, the Interdisciplinary Committee on Linguistics and The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at ASU.
