Behind the Scenes: The Making of ‘Tom and Jerry: Forbidden Compass’

What goes into making a feature-length animated film with an international creative team and a globally recognized brand? Join Poitier Film School Professor Alex Ma for an insider’s look at the recent release of “Tom and Jerry: Forbidden Compass,” the first theatrical animated feature starring the iconic cartoon characters created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera.

Following a screening of the film, Ma, who served as a Warner Bros. studio executive and is credited as the film’s script consultant, will be joined by ASU artist and animation Professor Shawn Lawson for a behind-the-scenes conversation exploring the creative and technical decisions and challenges involved in bringing a beloved global franchise to the big screen.
