Event description

- Sustainability
Ever wonder what happens to the waste generated on campus? Join the University Sustainability Practices Circular Resources team at the Mesquite Outdoor Room just west of the Hassayampa Academic Village on the Tempe campus for a hands-on waste sorting event and discover what makes up ASU's waste stream.
Participants will have the opportunity to sort real waste materials, learn about common recycling and composting mistakes and gain a better understanding of what belongs in the landfill, recycling and compost bins. By exploring the types of waste produced at ASU, you'll learn how small actions can make a big difference in reducing contamination and improving resource recovery efforts across campus.
Whether you're new to sustainability or looking to sharpen your recycling knowledge, this interactive event is a great way to become a more informed and responsible member of the ASU community.
